The “SYG” series of tubing hangers have all of the features of the" SLRT tubing hanger plus the ability to convert to a slip suspension. If a conventional completion has been planned, and because of unforeseen difficulties, it becomes necessary to make a slip suspension completion after tubing has been run; it can be accomplished by replacing the landing coupling with a false bowl and slips. The slip suspension completion also permits the setting of the tubing in tension. The pack-off is accomplished by a conversion bushing

When slip conversion is used, the cutoff length of the tubing is 3-1/2 +1/8 above the face of the tubing head flanger.
